Tech Education for Ghana

The project aims to strengthen computer science education in Ghana through organising training workshops for teacher and multipliers (trainers) from Ghana.

Members of the diaspora organisation, Code for Afrika e.V. developed the idea to strengthen computer science education in Ghana using established approaches from Germany. The online courses and the teaching materials developed and tested by Code it! offer a simple and motivating introduction to programming for children (from 9 years).

The Code it! learning platform is web-based and therefore accessible everywhere. It can be used in schools, in extracurricular settings or at home.

An offline version will be developed as part of the project with inputs from the teachers and multipliers (trainers) from Ghana to make the Code it! Platform accessible to children in Ghana. Developing the offline version will make it easier for children who do not have constant access to the internet to learn how to code.
